Original artwork description:

Life size drawing of some of my collection of walking sticks gathered from holidays in Europe over a period of years ; including some sticks from my fathers small collection.
I have always loved walking, and walking with a stick just feels good and right.
I have used my current technique of drawing around objects and repeating a pattern, then drawing erasing and re-drawing them to create a 3d feel.
I have used a mixed medium approach with pencil, charcoal, graphite as well.I wanted to create a good likeness of the sticks and the textures and the way that i have carved them; but to make an image that could just be an abstract pattern looked at from afar.

Materials used:

Paper is 220gsm Fabriano, pencil, graphite charcoal.
