This is a painting from the series "The World of Tita Petita Chihuahua". Tita is my very special Chihuahua. I adopted her when she was 2 years and 7 months 19 days old. She likes to dress up as Characters and has all sorts of incarnations as a Rapper, Nurse, Sailor, Samba singer and Dancer, Hawaiian dancer etc. She is like the 'Mr Ben' of Chihuahuas. For anyone who is younger than me I will explain who Mr Benn was. He was a character in a cartoon created by David Mc Kee that I watched in the 70's and it was my favourite programme. Every week Mr Benn went to a Fancy Dress shop where the shop keeper would give him a costume to try on. he then went through a magic door opening on to a world appropriate to his costume and then had an adventure. The shop owner always appeared and Mr Benn went back to the fitting room and continued his normal life. So it is with Tita Petita Chihuahua. In this painting she iTita Petita the Wonder Chihuahua. I wrote a poem to accompany the painting.

Tita Petita- the Wonder Chihuahua

Tita Petita- Wonder Chihuahua
Super canine - she will wow ya.
She has a smile - super nice
She can melt a heart of ice.
& with just one fishy kiss,
She can induce a state of bliss.
She can run 10 miles an hour
& knock out bad dogs with her power.
She is small but great’s her might
Kapow! She’ll win in any fight.
In warning she will give a nip
& lash her tail just like a whip.
Her ninja moves are double quick-
Her back legs do a karate kick.
She can leap as tall as a giant
In combat she remains defiant.
Of fierce bark deafeningly loud-
She can pierce the eardrums of a crowd.
Finally, and the strongest still-
Endless love’s her greatest skill!
