This piece was created in Oaxaca, Mexico, and is inspired by Ben's time working and living there. Made using a combination of natural pigments such as iron oxides and indigo, it is an exploration of traditional dying techniques endemic to the region as well as myths of the Nahual (a shamanic process of changing into an animal form) which was told by many indigenous groups from the region, most notably the Zapotecas.
