This painting explores the passing of time and history recorded. A brief flash frame caught from a moment that could be the end of an epoch. The movement of the flames and comets plays against the etched scene painted on shards of rock and held up against the backdrop of an illuminated night sky.

This painting is really an attempt to find balance amongst the contention of movement and stillness.
