I love painting these subtle geisha's emerging from the darkness. They are based on my photo shoots with geisha model, Ayumi LaNoire. I have painted similar images all over the wold on large scale mural paintings from The USA to Japan. This is a beautiful smaller scale study of a spot lit geisha, as she emerges into the light, like a butterfly.
