  • New Sculpture Jewelry

It's been taking a good part of last year to get my sculptures to become miniaturized to be either tiny sculptures or jewelry - art to wear. The same concept applies as it does to my larger work. All families are mix and match. If you own one of my sculptures and you love them and you would like to wear them to show them off you can comission your family pendant to match your family. My "Close to Me" sculpture pair was best suited for miniturization so it's the first one to make it from prototype to be actually available to be sold. Here is a little video that will show the new pendant in three sizes.

    Modeling work

Currently I am working with four different foundries. Two in the US one in Europe and now also in Thailand. Here I am working at the foundry applying the last touches to the medium size families enlargement. It is a very long process with many iterations to get it right. I hope to make them in life size later this year.

    Large female mold wax paintout

Here I am painting out the larger female mold torso with casting wax. This is done before the mold is put together and slushed with liquid wax. I love to work outdoors, my view of my backyard is precious to me.

    Yenny finishing a small bronze

At the bench outdoors, working on "the two of us" 4" version. I have since started using other grinding and sanding methods but it illustrates the finishing work.

Yenny introducing her work at the Spectrum Art Show

This is a great overview and will give you an intimate understanding about my work and it's love concept. My Little People and my little larger people are beautifully displayed. Hear a detailed introduction to my work and meet me "in person". This is actually the first video of me describing my work. As a somewhat shy artist I am proud of myself to have pulled it of.

My little wild hair blue people were with me on the Virgin Islands

My little wild hair blue people were with me on the Virgin Islands

It was my dream vacation, my wild side and my avatar little blue people with their rebellious ambitions came along. Their romantic yet edgy attitude represented my mood and the celebration of my 50th birthday. We had a blast! The white beaches, snorkeling, palm trees, cocktail hour and amazing dinners. Thank you to my family, friends, loved ones and collectors who have supported me in my pursuit of an artists life. Now the NEXT 50!!

    The mess on a workbench

    The mess on a workbench

It's not always that cluttered but I have so many tools and there is never enough space. HELP! I need an organizer!

    The real work outfit

    The real work outfit

My work is dirty and it's toxic too. I spend a lot of time with a respirator applying patina. My sense of smell is almost vanished because of all he toxic chemicals. As an accomplished printmaker in my previous artistic endeavor I was exposed to cadmium inks and solvents. I had to stop working in printmaking. Then I found something equally bad for your health being a bronze sculptor.

I am posing with my half life size custom family of five

I am posing with my half life size custom family of five

Originally I had created this family to be placed in front of a Tennessee Hospital. Unfortunately the hospitals board had decided to have a fountain and benches instead. We artists do a lot of work without contracts or downpayment. This was a lesson not to invest before it's a done deal. It was a tremendous investment.
