I'm not an early bird, especially not when on holidays. Getting up at 6 a.m. was purely motivated by capturing a beautiful sunrise on Santorini.

Taking photographs of an artwork is an equally creative and valuable step as the painting process itself.

    "MINUS sketch, PLUS water" approach

This is an educational, home recorded demo, showing my wet-into-wet approach to watercolor painting. I used to call my drawing process "MINUS sketch, PLUS water", because I often sketch my painting subjects by using water only. Watercolor paints used in this video are by Schmincke Horadam (Cadmium orange deep, English Venetian red, Brilliant blue violet, Indigo, Neutral tint, Permanent Chinese white) and Sennelier (Quinacridon gold, Caput mortum). Music: "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" by W.A. Mozart. Made for YOU, with WATER, FUN and LOVE.

My painting subjects are usually animals, but I often take the challenge of painting other subjects too.
