About Violeta Damjanovic-Behrendt

 
 
  • Biography
    Violeta is an independent artist, an entrepreneur and a senior research scientist, working and living in Austria. She studied art at the private fine arts school of Sergej Jovanovic in Belgrade, Serbia. She also studied Computer Science at the University of Belgrade, where she earned her PhD in 2008. 

    During the period 1998-2005, Violeta painted Byzantine Icons and had her artworks exhibited in Belgrade (Serbia), Manhattan NYC (USA), Richmond VA (USA) and Salzburg (Austria). Since 2012, she is passionate about watercolour painting, continuously developing her skills through attending master classes in painting and through own experimentation.

    Her painting subjects are often birds and animals, or still life compositions with food and flowers, dance and body motion.
