About vera saiko

  • Biography

Vera Saiko is a Canadian visual artist whose works are exhibited in Canada, China, the USA, and Europe. She works with oil, acrylic, pastel, and charcoal. Vera has a very expansive career as an artist. Also, she teaches Fundamentals of Drawing class and Colour Theory class at Sheridan College(Canada), where she graduated from a Fine Arts and Design program after receiving formal drawing education in Russia and Ukraine.

Vera is an artist who paints intuitively and freely with the joy of color. She explores aspects of colors, spacetime, and ways they interrelate through visual expression. Harmonious composition, bold brushwork, and refreshing color make her paintings come alive, trigger intense feelings, and give her work a universal and timeless quality.

Vera is a member of the Ontario Art Society and Oil Painters of America. Her works are in private collections in the USA, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Russia, and Ukraine. In addition, Saiko's paintings are displayed in Toronto, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Shenzhen galleries.

"Creating art is an intimate conversation with my emotions and perceptions, a voyage of self-discovery and expression. Translating thoughts onto the canvas or paper empowers me to share my inner world with others, fostering connection and understanding. Selling my art on Artfinder extends this connection, allowing my creations to resonate with a broader audience. It's not just about commerce but forging a bond between my art and those who appreciate its essence, infusing lives with meaning and beauty."

    Event: OSA Member's Exhibition 2023

    Dates: 26 Sep 2023 - 14 Oct 2023

Venue: Art Space Connect Gallery, 56 Neilson Dr., Toronto, Canada

As an elected member of OSA, I participate in the Annual ART Show. This year's OSA MESW exhibition is titled 'Homeward: Where the Heart Lives.' It will be an opportunity for our members to explore the theme of one's meaning of 'Home.' Is the notion of 'Home' found within a relationship or community the emotional pull of a particular space or place? Perhaps it is a hope, a memory, a dream, or a feeling that stirs a sense of security, safety, comfort, and belonging.
