About Timothy Turton

  • Biography
I predominately work in acrylic and love the versatility of this medium. I try to balance colour and form - contrasting line with brush work and flat areas of colour so that each work has a history of mark making. I continuously draw, making sketches from life and from source references. I endeavour to create work that is a response to a place or a moment - partly from memory, partly from the sketches that I make on location and partly from source references. Combining these together for the finished composition. Up to now I have sold my paintings predominately in the UK to both private individuals and businesses - I feel that selling online will broaden the audience that can view my artwork. I have in collaboration with another artist produced award winning public art.
