About Sue Gosney

  • Biography
I trained at Amersham College of Art in Buckinghamshire where I focussed on my love of drawing and painting, although my studies also included sculpture, pottery and printing. I derive my inspiration from the places I visit, both in the UK and abroad, and try, wherever possible, to work from ‘real life’ landscapes or seascapes, gaining as much reference as I can from my immediate surroundings. In my work I aim to evoke the energy, atmosphere, colour and feeling inspired by my travels. I use a variety of media and also paint still life, buildings and flowers. I have always enjoyed figure drawing and believe it is very important to continue with this discipline. Once a week I draw from a life model in a local studio with a group of fellow artists. I would like to reach a wider audience with my art and having looked at the Artfinder website, and the wide variety of art on offer, I believe it would be an excellent portal for displaying and selling my work.
