About Stefan Stoikov

In my work I explore the intertwining of classical and contemporary motifs, often made in an anachronistic and metamodern style, combining mass culture and high culture. As a genre I am predominantly inspired by figurative composition and portraiture. Creativity for me is a way of expressing myself, initially an idea is nurtured in my head, then it is realised on canvas. I like to experiment with composition, to make the work multi-ball, to combine painting with graphics, to combine the aesthetics of different eras, it makes the work more paradoxical. In painting I like medium and large format works. Artfinder will be a great platform for my work internationally.
