About Sanjay Dhawan

  • Biography

It was in the year 2010 that while packing one of my paintings, I got fascinated by the ridges and texture of the corrugated sheet. A strong desire to create something unique and outstanding gave me the energy to experiment with the medium and explore the many ways in which it can be used creatively. The initial results gave me the conviction that it is indeed a medium which will not only challenge my potential as a creative artist but also be conducive enough to express my feelings and play around with thematic concepts.

Each artwork is created by painstakingly putting together about 50 to 150 pieces of cardboard pieces to form a collage and some have several components to make a 3D assemblage / sculptures.
