    Voluptuous

One of my absolute favourites, 'Voluptuous' has a special place in my studio (until she finds her new home of course). I took this photo today to share with you. I love what she symbolises and what I feel when I look at her: freedom from perfectionism, self love, inspiration. 60" x 48" x 1.5" - Indian ink on canvas

A Triple Tribute to the Female Form

A Triple Tribute to the Female Form

I recently completed a trilogy of oil paintings, each uniquely powerful on its own yet harmonising beautifully as a collection. Here they are hanging together. These large canvases are all 30" x 40" on deep-edge, gallery wrapped canvas

    The making of a Trilogy

    The making of a Trilogy

I recently completed a trilogy of paintings, each uniquely powerful on its own yet harmonizing beautifully as a collection. These pieces celebrate the female form—bold, unapologetic, and free. Through vibrant colours and minimalist, imperfect brushstrokes, they invite the viewer to embrace life on their own terms, living authentically and with passion. **Here I'm creating 'Celestia' in my new studio**

    Summer time commission

    Summer time commission

Here I am working in my make shift studio on an extra large canvas for a commissioned work. I was asked to create a piece that matched and enhanced the moods and peaceful tones of this contemporary, spacious home in the south of England. I used greys and whites with blues to offset. Acrylic in canvas.

    Extra Large Painting

    Extra Large Painting

I love working on really big canvases. Here's my latest - a couple lie together in a sensual embrace, painted with fabulous oils on a deep-edge canvas, ready to hang. I'll be publishing it soon. Just drying ;)

    Spring colours

    Spring colours

This is really a sister piece to my last post. My creative flow is definitely being affected by the time of year :) The colours are wonderfully spring time! This sensuous pose is given potent energy by the colours of life and renewal.

    Bright is beautiful

    Bright is beautiful

I just had so much fun making this painting yesterday in my studio. Talk about a 'feel good factor' ... female form with such bright, beautiful colours! Intoxicating, fun and joyful. I started with a sketch I'd done of a model in a stunning pose, her back, bottom and of course those amazing bottom dimples that I love to paint so much ;) I knew the colour I wanted in my background, bright green and yellow and as I worked first on the background it became clear to me that the best way to allow the figure in the painting to 'speak' was for her to have no colour added and to allow the colours around her to pervade her. Let me know what you think.

    Red Transformation in situ

    Red Transformation in situ

I have done a massive 'photoshoot' of new images showing my artworks in-situ. I had loads of fun and it gives us a nice idea of what the artwork can look like in a real context. I've updated the artwork images on my page with these new 'in-situ' photos.

THE MAKING OF 'RELEASE I', PART II

I love using blues for the negative space. The image starts to have life.
