About Paul Williams

  • Biography
Although predominantly a landscape artist, I enjoy painting a variety of subject matter. I currently favour painting in a loose and lively impressionistic style, often using a palette knife, but also use detailed brushwork in my work. My artwork is inspired by my experiences of living in West Cornwall; I find I am drawn to the details and subtleties created  by the changing light on the land and sea.

I exhibit my art work in several galleries in Cornwall and also sell online.

    Recent exhibitions:
Trelissick Gallery, Feock, Truro from the 28th January.
Spring Art Fair at The Stableyard Gallery, Trelowarren Estate, Mawgan 5th March - 26th March
Spotlight exhibition at the Falmouth Gallery from 10th-15th April
Trelissick Summer Show June - September

Currently exhibiting at the Trelissick Gallery -Autumn Show from 25th September

I’m delighted to have been shortlisted for the 2018 Art Gemini Prize and will be exhibiting ‘Old lighthouse on Smeaton Pier’ at the Finalists exhibition 25-29 Sept 2018 at the Menier Gallery, London.
