Beautiful picture of one of my favorite animals, representing a blend of precise, accurate drawing and the organic charm of a hand-drawn illustration. I've always loved drawings because they are so basic and raw, providing a direct connection to the artist's thought process, mind's eye, imagination and way of seeing things.

I grew up on the west coast of Florida, so I grew up with sea gulls. They are symbols of my happy times thru my entire life. I've seen everything done with their images until I saw Nancy's piece. She caught a gull that "spoke"!!! It's my first piece of a gull that spoke my Life. Thank you Nancy.
