About Nadya Zhuravskaya

  • Biography
Despite the classical art education, my true love is abstract painting. I love to create large scale oil on canvas paintings and try to improve myself in this. I chose oil as the most “lively” material with an inexhaustible scale of possibilities — texture, multilayer, internal glow, as well as the preservation of color and the painting layer over time. For me, abstract art is a space of extraordinary freedom of creativity and the ability for painting to express itself. In this I follow the tradition of Russian abstract art and try to make it contemporary. Music often inspires me, it is at an unattainable level of abstraction and at the same time incredible in its effect! I really love Sergey Rachmaninov, J.S. Bach and play the piano a little. My beautiful city inspires me, and also my beloved family, now I am the mother of a charming baby. Also, I am often inspired by other artists, both classics and living ones, I feel real joy when I see a beautiful work in my feed on a social network!
