About ming jing wang

  • Biography
I am a San Francisco based painter trained in contemporary realism paintings.  I express my ideas with variety of techniques to achieve striking yet unique and original images. I never move far from life's inspirations, and looking constantly for ideas that can be brought live with brushes.

I am interested in distant culture and how its old traditions meet modern intrusions.  You will see paintings based on people and places of Tibet, narrative paintings influenced by social realism, and modern urban citiscapes and figuratives.

People in time of adversity and their resilience equally inspire me. “Our Human Conditions” series takes that approach to visualize trauma, injustice and human obsession.
