    Jeepster in my lounge

    This is 'Jeepster' an original pastel (image size 50 x 50cm) which has just sold! I'm enjoying having it up on my lounge wall for just another week or so until the buyer comes to collect her then Ill have to let her go out into the world. I'm happy to say she's going to a lovely home - her new owner just adores her and can't wait to put her up in his new home! I have released a limited edition of 100 giclee prints of her on Artfinder.

    This is a typical day for me at the easel. Here I have my Unison Colour Soft pastels in hand and I'm working on a 70 x 50cm sheet of PastelMat, my support of choice. I love the Unison brand of pastels which are made in Northumberland in the UK so its nice to be supporting a British business too! They go on so creamy and blend so beautifully they are a joy to use! This is me blocking in after the sketching stage so I'm busy working out my values and thinking of what colours I'll be using. It's a good time to think and plan ahead for when the detail goes in later.
