    Commission for a regular collector. Oil on canvas 50 x 70 cm. In Japan, poles are erected next to trees with ropes attached which stretch out over the canopy. These structures form protection from typhoons. A beautiful Japanese women sits in front with brightly coloured cords wrapped around her chin and splayed out to continue the shapes created. An unusual request.

    RIP David Lynch

    RIP David Lynch

    A couple of months ago, I sent my portrait of David Lynch ( can be seen in my shop) to a collector on Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood. It was one of three paintings that I have sent to various Hollywood addresses over the past few months, and I have been wondering what had become of them in the devastating fires there recently. So this evening, as we heard the sad news of his passing, I received a lovely email that made my heart sing. I thought I would share it.
