    Event: Hexie Hao

    Dates: 3 Feb 2019 - 30 Mar 2019

Venue: Cercle des Voyageurs, Lievevrouwbroersstraat, 1000 Brussel

Hexie Hao, literally harmony, is the graphic story of a journey across China to the soundtrack of the constant, crazy rhythm of eponymous trains. By the window, daydreaming for hours, I saw the miles of countryside rolling by, speckled by thousands of inhabited blocks.

Abandoning my steel mount to the rhythm of the stops, I paced behind the scenes of this great show, losing myself in the fury and the extreme contrasts of the Chinese megacities, and carried away by the raw beauty of landscapes.

From Beijing to Shanghai, through the rice terraces of Longji and Pingyao, the silver salts will forever preserve the beautiful moments of this initiatory trip.

    Event: Brume et poussière

    Dates: 23 Jan 2018 - 24 Feb 2017

    Venue: Verhaeren gallery, Brussels

Come and discover my new photographic exhibition titled "Brume et poussière (Mist and dust)" which runs from january 24 to Februrary 25 2018 at Verhaeren gallery in Brussels.

Mist and dust, mountain and desert: on both sides of the Franco-Spanish border stretch astonishing landscapes, full of contradictions. For a few days during the summer of 2016, I explored two of these marvels: the Cagire peak and the Bardenas Reales desert. Between them there is little in common, except the tranquil force of nature in its rawest form. From the mountain, I recall the damp, frosty fog that seemed to protect the massifs in all their hypnotic beauty. From the desert, I still enjoy reminiscing of the dusty atmosphere that plunged into a pale yellow, the pyramids of rocks and their false airs of American decor.

    Event: My public window

    Dates: 30 Aug 2017 - 21 Sep 2017

Venue: Le Hic, Le Hic, rue de Rodenbach 51,1190 Bruxelles

Created in Brussels, "My public window" is a series of photographs that capture various and funny objects (sculptures, stuffed animals, trinkets ...) displayed by people behind their window.

A dog on the lookout, a portrait of the Christ, a dusty Egyptian bust... These treasures protected by their transparent shields are perfect models, which besides their aesthetics, invite to read through an intimate story. What is the story of this Elvis fan couple, this Red Devils team supporter, or the anonymous showing his stuffed fox?

For several weeks, I walked the streets and avenues of the Belgian capital, discovering the hidden colours of this city. I felt as if I lived in a cold, grey city, and suddenly discovered, thanks to "My public window" project, a multiple, unexpected and surreal Brussels.
