Really struck by accuracy of this listing. James' painting is great quality, with the colours rendered really accurately, which means it's now hanging exactly where I planned to hang it, having exactly the impact I hoped in brightening up an otherwise dull spot in my home. It works brilliantly hovering between my kitchen and dining area and makes me want to sit and use the area more than I have in the past. I also hugely appreciated James' patience and communication when I needed to sort out an issue with the transaction on Artfinder (that I had inadvertently caused!).

James H. Johnston has a good eye for the inner emotions and external expression of human nature. This original portrait captures the interest with its intense and penetrating stare. A most attractive range of colours and textures are applied to create a strong and deep impact. There is no doubt a message from this character! It was a pleasure to interact with James as he explained his approach and interests. Thanks for sharing this work which keeps a close eye on me when I pass by!
