Couldn't be more delighted to introduce my new studio and get cracking working in the 64 sqm space on Lansbury Business Estate. Raising the stakes by improving my working space for larger pieces to be made.

Reigate Festival - Surrey Art Fairs

On Saturday 2nd July, a very wet and wild day, I was demonstrating and holding my stall of Art work. I'm so glad I wore my wellies and I had a little stream running through my bit. This was all part of the new Surrey Art Fairs development and I look forward to exhibiting with them again some time. A cracking good day and met some great British Public.

Great British Bee Count Exhibition by Artfinder

On Thursday 26th May a group of 19 Artists were lucky enough to be picked out of 300 Art pieces to exhibit at the My Chelsea Hotel in London. We had a beautiful evening opening with Jo Wood attending as ambassador for Friends of the Earth. The event marked the opening of the Great British Bee Count App. My 'Work Plight of the Bees' was selected and looked beautiful in its setting. The exhibition will be up until September with all works for sale on Artfinder.

Woking Society of Arts Private View

On Tuesday 15th March we had our Private view evening and it went brilliantly. As chairwoman I gave the speech and it went down well. With thanks to the Lightbox for all that they do for us. Here I am with member Ingrid Skoglund and her cherries. Was an even better private view as I sold my Oil Prize winning painting. A Few Too Many.

Public Vote Winner - Great Yarmouth Quick Draw

Public Vote Winner - Great Yarmouth Quick Draw

On Sunday 27th September I took part in the Brush with the Broads event. We had a Quick Draw event sponsored by the town and had to create a painting in Two hours Plein Air. This was my version. We exhibited for two hours at the end of the afternoon and then again at the public exhibition on the Monday. The Public Vote was cast for those two shows and i'm delighted to say that I won!.There were some amazing works there. I did take on rather a challenge to paint the entire town! I think the bouncy castles went down well with the kids too.

    ABWTB 2015

I'm currently in Norfolk with 25 other artists doing a Plein Air painting festival. I spent today at 6am on Hemsby Beach painting the sunrise. Then on to Horsey Mill at 8.30am to paint the waterways and boats. What an amazing place. A highlight for me was climbing to the top of the mill. Will six stepladders. And perching on the balcony to paint my waterway scene. Wind swept with paint on my face talking to all the holiday makers! More fun to be had too.

How to Present at a Fair

How to Present at a Fair

So I spent the evening of the 19th September discussing how to present at an Art Fair - at the Lightbox Gallery in Woking. There was a mixture of people there including two painters and TV events organiser and two Art Fair/exhibition organisers to name a few. The evening went really well and I was asked if anything had ever gone wrong. Some things do and I had to confess having drunk a bottle of wine the night before an event, i felt somewhat ill the next day. Not good. And having things fall off the display due to a game of Basketball going on in an adjoining area. So we chatted for nearly 2 hours. Wow. It went fast.
