About Carol Anne Jones

  • Biography

My artistic practice has become concerned with time and its representation and has evolved to center on people and their construction of the concepts of time, space and place.  My journal notes are influenced by contemporary and historical texts, film and imagery of both our global geopolitical world and own localized perspective.  I like to present my work in series format, each being long in gestation and production, one to three years in the making, each conveying a sense of narrative and ever-evolving relationship from one body of work to another.  Although I predominantly work in photography, paint and print, I consider my responses not to be grounded by choice of media but as a result of research conclusions.
