About Ashley Reid

  • Biography

I'm inspired by the beauty in everyday objects and scenes; the little moments in life. As I'm always taking photos of these moments, documenting my experiences, I began to want to share my findings with others.

Despite having to cope with a specific mental illness which has almost been debilitating at times, making art has more often than not been the thing that has pulled me back from the figurative brink. Pausing to just sit in the stillness and observe and be present in the moment is something I have been learning to do. So focusing on certain personal, meaningful, and seemingly nostalgic moments eventually became the themes within my practice.
