    A short panorama of my work exhibited, Seascapes using linocut and etch processes, and Monoprint birds, executed in linocut, embossed. They looked really great, well lit and beautiful stands.

    During the holidays I have been mentoring Maddi - in the grey- for her Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award, my grand-daughter Harriet also attended for the day. I was amazed at the standard of work from two 13 year olds. So pleased with them. They are returning tomorrow to turn their designs into print plates!

    Learning a new technique

    Learning a new technique

    I have just spent 2 days at Curwen Print near Cambridge learning the intricacies of etching. I tried Aquatint, but I love 'Soft Ground'! Here I am 'Stopping out' a small zinc plate before the next session in the Nitric Acid bath.

    Here is the end result of a busy day,small but perfectly formed, the zinc plate etched, inked and printed. The plate itself could not be photographed because it was too mirror like.

    Working at my 'Mangle'.

    My sanctuary, Blue Frog Studio, where I escape to perform wonders with ink, plates and an old mangle bought for £50 and refurbished by my husband Graham and son Robin. It took a lot of tweeking but it now works beautifully.
