About Snehal Page

  • Biography
I enjoy every stage of the creation of drawings and paintings. I am happy when I am painting or thinking about it. I am pleased when someone appreciates my work. For me, exploring various possibilities in drawing and design is like exploring myself.

There are an infinite number of designs in nature and surroundings. It is a pleasure to explore and convert them into paintings. Many great artists have created beautiful paintings with the inspiration from nature. I feel that this kind of art form suits me better, and I wish to follow the footsteps of those great artists.

Event: Painting Exhibition - "Shishiraagame" - Autumn Season

    Dates: 22 Jan 2020 - 2 Feb 2020

Venue: Art2Day Gallery, 805, 'The Reverie' Bhandarkar Institute Road Above Skoda Showroom, Pune 41004

The paintings exhibited in the show are inspired by the unpredictable, everchanging designs and colours of trees in autumn.

Manjiri and Snehal express their fascination about trees in autumn with their unique perspective. Both are leading portrait painters and art educators in Pune also share a love for nature. Manjiri is known for her impressionist and bold yet sensitive brushwork. The sheer range of colors and shapes depicted in her paintings of foliage on the ground is astonishing. Snehal, also an impressionist at heart, paints unpredictable, ever-changing designs and colors of trees in the wild.

Event: Painting Exhibition - "Mysterious Tree"

    Dates: 25 Mar 2019 - 31 Mar 2019

Venue: Hirji Hall, Jehangir Art gallery, Kala Ghoda, Fort, Mumbai

Paintings exhibited in the show were inspired by unpredictable, ever changing designs and colors of trees in the wild. These trees give a feeling of profound solitude to the viewer with their untamed and mystic beauty. To share this rich experience, the artist experimented with different mediums, compositions and renderings without committing to a certain style or ism. “After working in portraiture for many years experience of painting trees is been almost freeing as well as humbling,” Snehal says. “I have been working in the companionship of trees for more than two years. This journey is been enormously rewarding with all the challenges and struggles. I believe that the quiet, peaceful yet sturdy and firm presence of trees made me more sensitive and thoughtful.”
