About Simon Beesley

  • Biography

While my children were very young and my partner was commuting to London every day, I felt the pull to find an outlet for my creativity to balance the amazing but challenging nature of parenting twins. So, I returned to a passion I’ve long held and ventured out with my baby girls in tow to buy paint and canvases. I've never looked back.

I feel a deep connection with colours that nourish the souI and I work intuitively with bold, bright colours in abstract and semi-abstract form. My work includes watercolours, inks, oils and acrylics on canvas. One collection, entitled “String Theory”, incorporates a painstaking but satisfying technique that appeals to the senses from both a tactile and visual perspective.

For me, a work of art is all about how it makes you feel. My main aim is to bring joy to the soul through stunning colours and textures; to transform and uplift our lives. My paintings are ideal for large, minimal and contemporary spaces whether in homes, hotels or offices.
