About Sam Owen Hull

  • Biography
My work explores the many polarities that we exist between, attempting to find a balance between them, perhaps for comfort, maybe for security. Using the speed of gestural brushstrokes against the slowness of hand embroidery I interrogate the tensions found in contemplating concepts such as presence and absence, freedom and constraint, masculine and feminine, urban and natural.
