Female Abstraction is a celebration of female contemporary painters working in the UK today. Its aim is to shine a light on the wealth of female talent we have in the UK and to bring some of that exciting talent together in a group show that celebrates female power.

The exhibition showcases the work of eight amazing artists who create work that explores the world around them: realising ideas, releasing emotions and investigating the dynamics of change.

Spring is the season of revival and rebirth, being full of energy, vitality and new elements. Thus, many artists use vivid colours and techniques to express their strong emotions of spring, not only to record beautiful sceneries, but also to discuss life and aesthetic experience.
Spring is also bright, hopeful and positive. The aim that Boundary Art holds this exhibition is to establish a communicative platform for both western and eastern artists during this visionary and passionate season, showing their different experience and feeling of “Vividness”. Meanwhile, Boundary Art hopes to provide audience with a face-to-face opportunity to communicate with artists, as this exhibition is not too heavy or obscure, we would like to encourage more audience to involve in virtuosity, knowing about and loving art.

Off the Wall is delighted once again to dedicate its next show to International Women’s Day (IWD), which is formally on March 8th.

A wide range of art and sculptures will be on show by women, but for everyone’s tastes.

IWD provides a common day for globally recognising and applauding women’s achievements as well as for observing and highlighting gender inequalities and issues. If every International Women's Day event held in 2012 includes girls in some way, then thousands of minds will be inspired globally.

Off the Wall, the premier, modern contemporary art gallery in Llandaff presents a show of all female artists from February 4th to March 9th 2010.

Celebrating women’s creativity through the arts and to mark International Women’s Day on March 8th, the exhibition will feature original art and limited edition prints, including other media, such as sculpture, photography printmaking and painting. The gallery will also be showing works from the Women’s Art Association, As a result there will be a diversity of styles on show.

The Welsh Artist of the Year award is an annual art competition in Cardiff's St David's Hall, open to amateur and professional artists who have a link to Wales. It has been running annually since 2000.

The competition has become a significant feature in the Welsh visual arts calendar, possibly due to the prestige associated with the title Welsh Artist of The Year.
