This image shows the work for Translation Latency, Correspondence Departure in the studio it was created you get a sense of the scale as well as the visual dialogue between these images. I used this space for nearly 4 months during which time I found consistency and continuity of thought whilst developing a practice based research methodology. 2017

We made work remotely by posting each other starting points. This was a work that allowed free selection of themes and also introduced the jeopardy of crossing boundaries of personal aesthetics and creative boundaries. When we received a pice from each other they arrived in the post without explanation or demand, our individual responses could be using original or reacting to it and make new work these exchanges were not critiqued until we had exchanged several times. In the nature of this exchange and our daring or not so, decisions we revealed our selves creatively and as personalities. Making and exchanging was more complex than stated here, evident in the MP4 record of our coming together day is the stretch and discovery this project created of and about our practice and burgeoning creative relationship. We have a blog post that we infrequently update, SPANartist.wordpress.com have look!
