  • Painting the Sierra de Aralar in Navarra

Process of an oil landscape made with brushes and palette knife and oil on canvas. Inspired by the Sierra de Aralar in Navarra. Although I had already been many times in this forest and in this river, in this case it called my attention to paint it at sunset.

Description of an urban painting of a street in Fez, Morocco. Step by step process.

From my travels to Morocco I caught this donkey on a street in the fascinating city of Fez, a scene that really caught my attention. In this video I show the different phases through which the painting passed.

    Oil painting with glazes

One of the subjects I return to again and again is my hometown Barcelona. Even though it's been a few years since I lived there, when I visit I enjoy it more than before because I realize even more the beauty of its corners: the combination of Gothic and modernist architecture, the characteristic street trees and the light that often penetrates them, or the whole port area. In this case a sunset on the Maremagnum walkway captured my attention for this 2018 picture. An area (called Port Vell) that I had painted before on many occasions. But this time I did it from this perspective, among other things because I knew that my grandmother (the painter Carmen Gandía) had already painted it from here and it was beautiful.

Process of a painting on a Venice canal

Venice inspired me greatly since the first time I saw it in pictures, as a child. Thank God I have been able to visit it many times, and I have always found it magical and full of charm everywhere. In this case I show one of the most elaborate paintings I did about Venice. It was made in 2016 and in the video I show three phases that were decisive to get the work right. The initial sketch or stained, the resolution of the main brushstrokes and finally the details and nuances.

Process of a painting about prague at night

In this video I show the process of a 2021 painting about the city of Prague. In it, I tried to recreate an enveloping atmosphere, dark but also cozy at the same time. Thanks to the spatula I was able to simulate the wet ground. However, like many other times, a good choice of motif is almost everything, and the city of Prague is really amazing in itself.
