About Lily Koto Olive

  • Biography
I have always have a deep impulse to create art ever since I was a small child. Expressing myself through artwork is for me the best means to communicate my ideas and life to the world. I have sold my artworks internationally, both independently as well as through galleries and museum shows I've been selected to show and exhibit through and with. I enjoyed selling my works from my studio to my collectors for years, however, as I have travelled and lived more and more internationally over the past years (Germany, England, Romania, and Dominican Republic) I have realised it's becoming more and more important to increase my visability and reach my existing and potential buyers all over the world with some support from an existing framework such as Artfinder. I am ready and really excited to participate, as I have loads of new work!! Also, I strongly believe that female artists are missing the exposure and support that our male counterparts are getting even today, and I really hope with a bit more visability to help launch my dreams of being a female painter even further. I have upcoming art exhibits scheduled in Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary this Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. I have exhibited my artworks at Sotheby’s, Flowers Gallery in New York, and Flowers Gallery in London, HERE Arts Center, Sloan Fine Arts, RH Gallery, Kleio Projects and ISE Cultural Foundation in NYC, The New Britain Museum of American Art in New Haven, CT, the Dumbo Arts Center, Trestle Gallery and Janet Kurnatowski Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, Marketplace Gallery in Albany, NY, One Mile Gallery in Kingston, NY, Index Art Center in Newark, NJ, Miami Dade College Museum of Art & Design in Miami, FL, Polk State College in Winter Haven, FL, Carrboro Century Center in Carrboro, NC, Kamakura Performing Arts Center in Kanagawa, Japan, Palazzo Flangini in Venice, Italy, The Museum in Leipzig, Germany, Pilotenkueche/Halle 14 in Leipzig, Germany, Museu d'Historia de la Ciutat de Girona in Girona, Spain, ZSenne in Brussels, Belgium and Galeria Sztuki Współczesnej MD_S in Wroclaw, Poland.
