About KR Moehr

  • Biography

Works can be found in several upscale hotels and resorts including:

    Phoenician Scottsdale Resort, Scottsdale, AZ
Loews San Francisco, San Francisco, CA
    Morrison House Restaurant
Renaissance St. Louis, St. Louis, MO
    Marriott, Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Working from my studio in Arizona, I love to create abstracts and abstract landscapes. I've been working as an artist for a relatively short period of time (now about 10 years), and I LOVE it.

My work is starting to be collected (internationally, even!) and I enjoy creating pieces that make me smile. My goal is to create works that people feel they just must have!

I love to imagine my art hanging in other people's homes and offices. It gives me such a thrill to create on a blank canvas in my little studio and then ship it out to someone else who I hope will enjoy it for many years.

To any of you out there who have actually purchased my art...a sincere THANK YOU! You're on my Christmas card list!

    What I've done:

I've worked in marketing and I also write and publish various books and publications for business. I started painting because I love colors and I've always loved art (and my parents are artists...gene pool?). I never thought I'd actually ever sell a painting, but alas, I've been blessed.

I concentrate mostly with online sales (because it suits me and I'm fairly web savvy), however I have been represented by AZ galleries.

    Where I've been:

I moved here to Tucson from Portland, OR (too rainy, but a great city!), after living in Detroit area suburbs (will always be "home") for many years.

I love the Tucson sunshine, palm trees, cacti and sunsets...what amazing sunsets! I miss truly fresh salmon from the NW and Buddy's pizza from MI (I have them shipped out frozen--they're that good!)

My life in a nutshell and philosophy:

I have a wonderful partner--he's my greatest support and best friend, and two cats (sisters) who keep me company during my late night painting inspirations and a beautiful daughter (14 going on 24).

Life is up, it's down, it's a struggle, it's a laugh. And through it all I try to live by my favorite motto: To Thine Own Self Be True.

    What more can I say?
