Biography
The value of art for me is to be found in the artistic process. In a society stuck in surface, the liberating effect of free creative expression has helped me to dive deep into my subconsiousness, making it possible to heal myself, while the ability to paint makes it possible to get back to the normal world again. This movement is shown in my art: in contrast to a lot of contemporary artists, I work from the depth to the surface. In this way I produce artworks that - I hope - stimulate the onviewer by triggering their own abstract intelligence.
I divide my works into two categories, called 'pure feeling' and 'deep seeing'. The deep seeing is the result of complex pattern formation, while pure feeling refers to capturing the energy of a moment. Often I find myself explaining to people that there is a 4th dimension in the seemingly 3d canvas: that of emotion - I believe that paint has the ability to memorise the emotion that was felt by the artist when he was making the work. This is the essence of my creative process - having the courage to go through whatever intensity of emotion and healing myself by expressing it through painting.
Van Gogh is in my eyes the first one who saw the true energetic essence of everything that is, and I hope to contribute to the awakening of the people by showing them the same energetic essence of our reality.
