About Daniel László

  • Biography
I'm a realist painter, I paint what I see, what surrounds me. In a broader context, the distressing conditions of Budapest and Hungary are typical in my artwork. In my application mainly the realist interiors or rather the transformation of the (ruin) culture during the past 60 years into today’s tangible memento buildings, appear in my paintings. Our existence on Earth is only a station; let’s admit it, quite a run-down “post socialist” station. We cannot do anything else because this is what we got, therefore from here is that we have to stand up. If despite our efforts we cannot manage to change the world to a better place, a more livable one, even then we cannot forget that if we get through it, then there for sure the sun will be shining; the perfect “landscape” will be waiting for us.
