About Christopher Wood PPSSA RSW RGI

  • Biography
My work encompasses Landscape, Seascape and Abstraction, using oils, acrylics, collage and mixed media. My working practice is intuitive and improvisational - an approach which fosters the unexpected. Through the processes of painting, of layering and scraping, of looking and reacting, the work finds its own identity with a purpose, history and a voice of its own.

A full-time professional artist since graduating from Art College in 1984, Christopher has exhibited widely across the UK winning many prestigious prizes. He has played an active role in the Scottish Art scene for two decades including the Presidency of the Society of Scottish Artists. He lives and works in the small coastal town of Dunbar with his wife and two children.
