About Alessia Tanzi
Biography
Alessia was born in Rome in the seventies and raised in the countryside nearby.
Once graduated from a grammar school, she had the opportunity to work in Cinecitta, the heart of the movies industry in Rome which enabled Alessia to work with some remarkable names in the artistic department such as Giantito Burchiellaro, Luciana Arrighi, Alessandra Querzola.
When in 2003 Alessia moved to London she also worked for some local artists as per Lali Chethwynd and some of her installation artworks.
Alessia is still living in London where she works from her home studio in North West London. She has an established Counselling practice and a family life.
Alessia is now ready to incorporate the showcasing of her art work in her life. It has been through her experience as a Counsellor to help her to discover her need to nurture all parts of herself.
In her contemporary work Alessia is inspired by the objects that she loves and the images that she collects when venturing outside. Each drawing presents a story through its dynamic layers of colour and scratches, the curved lines, lights, shades and transparency.
