The theme of the flower in my work takes on a role of meaning and research on color and composition. The meaning of the flower is, in my painting, linked to the passage of time and the changes that this entails.

The real shape of the flower is only suggested and is sacrificed in favor of the combination of colours, necessary for the composition and dynamics of the image.
The same goes for the sign.
The color of the flower is only imagined, without paying attention to the border lines as well as the real lights or shadows.

This painting is particularly significant in my work because it is the first of a new series of flower-themed works I am working on.

Oil colors on 100% cotton canvas. The edges are painted or finished so that the painting can be hung without a frame. The work is finished with a layer of glossy water-based varnish.
