About YUKI IOROI

  • Biography

IOROI is a Japanese urban/contemporary artist based in Rotterdam. She produces three-dimensional pieces that incorporate words as a representation of psychology and human behavior. Building upon the universal impulse to begin reading when presented with a text, her works ask questions our perceptions of self. It could be a situation we find ourselves or an unconscious way of thinking that needs to be addressed. It is an important element in her work to use the words to provoke connecting with something beyond words.
