    BIO:

I'm a fulltime artist. As far as I can remember, I was engaged in fine art, because born in a family of artists and sculptors. Some of the earliest art recollections date back to the four age old when I helped my father make a seven-meter granite sculpture of one of the party leaders of the Soviet Union, giving him very valuable advices. )) Later, my help to my father and brother was more effective.

Like all normal Soviet children who had the ability to fine art, I graduated from the children's art school and entered The Kharkiv State Art College in the sculpture department, which I graduated with honors. Having won a diploma artworks competition, I entered The Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts at the sculpture department without entrance exams, which I also graduated with honors. Having won a competition among students at The Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts, my wife and I (also a student at the graphic arts department at The Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts), as well as 3 more students, got the right to intern at the Nuremberg Academy of Fine Arts in 1997. After graduation, I felt a desire to do paintings.

Despite the fact that I was always engaged in painting in parallel with the study of sculpture, I felt the need to deepen my knowledge in this area. I began to study treatises on 17th-century painting in the book "Ernst Berger. Beiträge zur Entwicklungsgeschichte der Maltechnik, 1893-1897", as well as other books on oil painting techniques and materials. Thanks to these books, I was able to get acquainted with the technique of oil painting by old masters. It was a new and very valuable experience for me. Now in my work I use the techniques of old masters, as well as modern techniques of oil painting.

During my training, the main emphasis of our teachers of sculpture and drawing was placed on the classical school of art. Now I am trying in my work to combine classical knowledge with modern techniques of oil and acrylic painting.

Mostly in my work I use oil paints, less often acrylic. Sometimes I combine them to achieve the desired effect.

In my works I use female and male images to convey their inner world and feelings, as well as their interaction with the surrounding reality, their desire for happiness and harmony with themselves and the world around them.

When working on landscapes, I am attracted by the opportunity to unite with nature, to become a part of it, to convey the mood in nature with the help of subtle shades of color.

    STATEMENT:

For as long I can remember, I have been painting, because I was born into a family of artists.  I am a full time artist because I can't imagine spending my time without a brush in my hand, paints on my clothes and beauty which I see around. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have enjoyed creating it. My images are often women, because they are the most beautiful and perfect. I will be very happy if, thanks to my paintings, your life becomes a little more colorful and happy.
