Biography
I’m a full-time botanical artist, who lives and creates in Ukraine. I’m a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists.
As a philologist by my primary education and former occupation, I speak and understand the language of flowers, and translate it into paintings with the help of my brush. All my paintings are done in watercolor, which conveys the true beauty of the plant. It’s fundamental for me to paint realistic works. I depict wonderful flowers and plants, attractive to everybody, as well as the ones with some imperfections having charm and zest, which I try to discover and depict on paper. The more flowers I paint the more I understand how wonderful, perfect and fragile nature is.
I derive inspiration from the paintings by Vincent Jeannerot, Esmée Winkel, Minako Watanabe.
