About Tetiana Albitska-Kostomarova

  • Biography
Since my studies at the Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts, the theme of "Women" and "Motherhood" has become the leading one in my work. At all times, since ancient times, the image of a woman has occupied and still occupies a significant place in the visual arts of artists around the world. And the theme of motherhood, the unity of mother and child is so multifaceted and inexhaustible that it will always excite artists. In the same way, my work is directed to a woman, a mother who gives life. As a sculptor, I work with all materials, namely natural and artificial stone, wood, bronze, clay. By education, I am a monumentalism sculpture, but lately, I prefer a small sculpture. I experiment a lot and this is how my latest collection of small sculptures "Pearl" was created, which reveals the beauty of the female body. I really want to sell my works on the Artfinder site, because I received a lot of good recommendations from artists who are successfully sold on the Artfinder platform. I will be happy if Artfinder's curators find my work interesting to be presented on such an important platform for artists.

    Event: "BEADS"

    Dates: 6 Jan 2022 - 29 Jan 2022

Venue: Kharkiv Municipal Gallery, Kharkiv, Ukraine

On January 6, the Kharkiv Municipal Gallery hosted the opening of a personal exhibition of the famous sculptor Tatiana Albitskaya-Kostomarova, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the artist's creative career.
The exhibition presents both well-known sculptural compositions of small forms and monumental works on display for the first time.

The key theme of Tatiana's creative search is the image of a "woman" who arrives in acceptance of herself and in harmony with the world around her. Clearly silhouetted, refined, they have an innovative approach and unusual plastic design. Her women sculpture do not prove anything to anyone. Closing their eyes, they radiate fullness and peace. The female images of the sculptor do not coincide with the generally accepted canons of beauty of the modern world but simply arrive at the moment here and now.
