About Tatiana Prikazchikova

  • Biography
I was born in a small city by the sea. My artistic perception is formulated by warm sub-tropical climates, noises in the night, bright stars in the sky and the voices, colours and scent of the sea. My first steps in painting involved studying in art school and then advancing this in the Moscow Textile Academy as a textile designer, and working as a colourist in a silk factory in Moscow. After a long break, I came back into painting and do not wish to stop again. I have a passion in abstract painting and want to present emotions and feelings in my artwork. Likewise, I like to make portraits, landscapes and still-lives in oils. I draw abstracts quickly using the Alla-prima technique, and produce compositions straight away. I particularly enjoy subjects and events in space, but not just space objects but the endless perceptions they give, the strengths of colour, the processes and times from far away. My main method of creating compositions is to use lots of colours and textures. I have returned!
