About Sol Vil

My name is Solmaz vilkachi, I was born in Tehran in 1982. I’ve been living and working in Rome since 2009. In 2017 I graduated in environmental Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome. For many years My artistic research was focused on the theme of identity, humans life style and behavior in the contemporary society , recently i’am working on the theme of the environmental crisis specially animal extinction as a consequence of human actions and at the same time the inability and indifference of human beings to deal with it . I try to use recycled materials, such as paper, wood and cardboard, trying to stimulate a sense of responsibility towards what is around us. I have participated in various solo and group exhibitions and created sculptural installations that have been exhibited and permanently installed in public spaces in various Italian cities.
