I am most impressed by both the portrait and Snehal's efficient processing. The technical quality of the painting is pronounced and the depiction of the subject brimming with (determined) character. I like the way everything is focused on the face with the rest fading half-finished into the background. I have always liked the highlighting of the face over the surround ever since I saw Rembrandt's 1669 self-portrait in the National Gallery in London as a teenager. The painting took two days to arrive in perfect condition from India with good communication from Snehal throughout the purchasing process. Many thanks.
