  • Biography
    Sara Horwath grew up in a artistic family, both her mother and her father also being painters. At the age of 15 she started attending classes at the University of the Arts Berlin. Since 1999 she has been working as a freelance designer and illustrator. In 2004 she graduated as a designer (FH) at the FHTW with the grade "sehr gut" ("very good") as the best student in her class. In 2002 she began working on her "Burlesque Illustrations" which are well known far beyond Germany today. For this form of art she painted people like Dita von Teese, Betty Page and herself as well. In addition to her personal art forms she continued working as a freelance illustrator and designer for publishing houses and companies such as ZDF newmedia, MTI Industrial Gases, kadewe, Lafayette, University La Sapienza (Rome), and others.
