About Pete Alander

  • Biography
Pete Alander, a Finnish artist and designer, was born 1979 in Hyvinkää city, Southern Finland. Pete is well known graphic designer and teacher of visual communications. During his career he’s been working with brand identities, print and web design, photography and video. He has years of pedagogical experience from vocational and university level. Pete Alander’s ideology hails from somewhat black humor and anything with a twist of obscurity. You can feel the early times of modernism since Bauhaus-movement and its ambassadors of modern design and art have made strong impact to him and his digital art. Abstract asymmetrical visual forms fascinates Pete more than anything. His work are filled with tiny details and complex visual levels and are built even from thousands of taken pictures in one artwork. In 2016, for the very first time his hidden treasures, or ‘secrets‘ like they are described by Pete, are now available for purchasing all over the world via and other online art galleries. Selected works are from his active era as a designer starting from 2001. Works are printed in high quality fabric metal surface. Every work is unique and sold only once.
