  • Biography
    I am inspired by the wild landscapes of Yorkshire, Northumbria and Cumbria and paint in a wide variety of mediums I choose to work in a variety of mediums from watercolour, oils, acrylic to egg tempera (a traditional method of mixing dried pigment with egg yolk)
    My insipiration comes from the wild landscapes of the North Pennines, Cumbria, Northumbria and Yorkshire.
     I have exhibited widely from the Mall Galleries to the Royal Academy Edinburgh and have held many successful one man exhibitions. Prizes awarded include the John Laing, The Sliver Longboat, a major prize sponsored by Shell UK and The Artist Magazine Prize Winner at Patchings. I have work in various private collections and have been published in books by Macdonald Orbis, ‘Learn to Print” and North Light Books, Acrylic Works 3, 2016, The Leisure Painter Nov 2019
