  • Biography

Nick Psomiadis has been capturing moments through photography since 1986 when he acquired his first SLR film camera, the Zenit 12xp. Affectionately known as the "Russian Tank," this Soviet-built camera was as weighty as a brick, yet it opened up a world of creative perspectives through its lens. Reflecting on those early days of loading film, advancing the lever, and hearing the satisfying click of the shutter, Nick's photographic journey began.

Photography became an integral part of Nick's life, with his camera accompanying him wherever he went as he searched for photo opportunities. However, it wasn't until the summer of 2011 that he decided to transform his passion into a profession. He successfully established a studio dedicated to fine art giclee printing, equipped with a professional Fujifilm GFX medium format digital camera and top-tier Epson large format inkjet printers. This combination of pigment inks on archival premium photographic papers ensures exceptional results, certified by Wilhelm Imaging Research to have a print permanence of over 100 years.

Nick's work has garnered warm reception from collectors both locally and internationally. His pieces are now on permanent display at the Print Décor Gallery in Malvern, Victoria, Australia. Today, he shares the captivating scenes he captures with the world through high-resolution fine art prints, offering truly affordable luxury fine art.

In November 2017, Nick presented his most remarkable works in a solo exhibition at the Steps Gallery in Carlton, Victoria, Australia, titled "Oceanic Dreams." This exhibition featured 12 large-format ocean-themed prints, each custom-framed and measuring up to 1.8 meters in length, marking it as his most prestigious exhibition to date. Through these large-scale prints, viewers could immerse themselves in the scenes he had captured, appreciating their beauty and depth.
